Born and raised in Monrovia California, Todd has worked for numerous Southern California cities and agencies in Economic Development and Redevelopment. Todd came to the Tribal Planning Office from the City of San Diego where he spent 5 years as the Redevelopment Deputy Director. He was responsible for the projects and activities of a redevelopment agency that encompassed over 8,000 acres with 10 project areas.

Prior to his time in San Diego, Todd worked for the cities of Burbank, San Bernardino and Pomona. His experience with implementing creative approaches to tough commercial, industrial, and housing projects in these cities has given him a firm background in working with the business sector, public agencies, and local community leaders. His job with the Tribe involves pursuing business and real estate development opportunities that benefit the Tribe and Tribal members. He also acts as an economic development liaison for the Tribe to the Cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Rancho Mirage as well as to the local Chambers of Commerce, Palm Springs EDC, and the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership.

After finishing high school, Todd got his B.A. from Harvard University. He completed his education at UCLA with a Masters in Educational Administration.

Valerie is a Registered Client Service Associate with UBS Financial Services, and has been active in the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce since January 2003. Her business contacts have steadily grown through Chamber participation. Valerie has served on several Chamber committees, chairing the ATHENA Committee for the past two years and the Ambassador Committee. Valerie has been on the Board of Directors since 2005 and is currently a Vice President.

Steven is a graduate of Concordia College (Minnesota).  He joined MMGC in 2002 and became Partner in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, he was an audit specialist with Deloitte & Touche in Minneapolis, MN.  He also spent three years with Northwest Airlines as a manager of corporate accounting and reporting.  He has significant experience assisting business clients with all aspects of their financial operations, specifically tax and business planning as well as audit and accounting services.  Steve currently serves as a director and treasurer with the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and as a director of Angel View Crippled Children’s Foundation.  He is also a member of the Palm Springs Hospitality Association; served on the board of Greater Palm Springs Pride from 2002-2003 and is a graduate of Leadership Coachella Valley, Class of 2003-2004.

Casey has been in the hospitality business for more than 25 years.  He moved to Palm Springs in 2000 to restore and reposition a mid-century motor hotel.  His background also includes ocean freight brokerage for major brands, administration for the American Institute of Wine & Food, and he is a published contributor to a West Hollywood-based magazine.  He currently operates TimeOut, offering a wide-range of business services and consumer information.  Casey has served on the boards of the Palm Springs Hospitality Association, the Desert Gay Tourism Guild, the Desert Business Association, the recently formed Palm Springs Marriage Committee and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce (since 2001).

Tim came to Palm Springs in 1992 as the GM of the Rivera Hotel, which he ran for 5 years. He bought Tuscany Manor and started a small hotel management company for 4 years. Tim is currently the GM of the Palm Mountain Resort. He has been there 7 years. He is currently Vice President of the Palm Springs Hospitality Association and Past Chair. He is Chairman of the Palm Springs Desert Resorts CVA. Tim has served on the Palm Springs Chamber Board of Directors since 2005.

Jeff Gobble

Jeffrey Gobble commenced his service with the Bank as its Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer in January 2002. Mr. Gobble was promoted to Vice President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer in May 2004 and then in June 2005 to Senior Vice President/Chief Credit Officer. Prior to his service with the Bank, he spent seven years in Boulder, Colorado as Vice President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer for First National Bank of Boulder County and Colorado National Bank. Mr. Gobble has more than 23 years of banking experience. He graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa . Mr. Gobble currently is on the Board of Directors of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Palm Springs Economic Development Corporation of which he is a past Vice President and currently Secretary. He is also actively involved in the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, the Independent Community Bankers of America, and the Audit Committee of the Palm Springs Art Museum, Camp Ronald McDonald House, American Quarter Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association, the Desert Riders and the Collegiate Peaks Back Country Horsemen in Colorado.

Kathi received her B.A from Michigan State University in 1973.  She and her husband Larry, a local CPA, moved to Palm Springs in 1975 where she started her banking career with Security Pacific National Bank.  She is currently the branch manager for the Rabobank office in Palm Springs .  Kathi has been actively involved in various organizations within the Coachella Valley .  She is currently on the board of directors for the Palm Springs Sunup Rotary, the Mizell Senior Center and the Palm Springs Economic Development Corporation as well as a member of the Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley .

Mike is a Palm Springs CPA second-generation business owner.  Hey attended Cahuilla Elementary School , Nellie Coffman Jr. High School and Palm Springs High School – Class of 1974.  Mike graduated with honors from UCLA, receiving a degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. 

He served on the Palm Springs city council from 2003 through 2007.  Mike is a former a member of the Palm Springs Human Rights Commission.  His community service includes past president of the Palm Springs Lions Club and of The Hundred Club.  Under his leadership, the Hundred Club raised money to purchase bulletproof vests for every Palm Springs Police officer and EMS biohazard jackets for every Palm Springs firefighter.  The Palm Springs Police Department named Mike as their “Citizen of the Year” and in the Palm Springs Fire Department awarded him their “Award of Merit”.  Mike and his wife Christina have been married twenty years and have two children.

Mary has been a Desert resident for almost 20 years beginning, as many do, as a weekender from the Los Angeles area. Originally from Massachusetts , Mary has worked in the marketing field since, as she says, “the beginning of time.” Currently the Associate Director of Development for the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum , she has worked for not-profit organizations, business-to-business enterprises, and the media including radio, television, newspaper, magazine, and an ad agency. It’s not that she can’t keep a job, she spent the early years of her career moving from state to state with her husband Ed, now retired from the Air Force. In addition to serving her community, Mary’s passions are traveling and her grandson, Aiden, not necessarily in that order.

Andrew Starke

Andrew Starke has been the sole owner and President of the Palm Springs POWER since it's creation in the fall of 2003 and is the current President of the newly created Palm Springs CHILL. He started the company from the ground up as the first and only employee until just weeks before the POWER’S inaugural game on June 4th 2004.  Since that time, he has seen the company grow at a rapid pace to current employment of over fifty full and part-time staff. Always looking to grow the sports entertainment opportunities in the Coachella Valley , Andrew is very excited to have the opportunity to work with the Arizona Winter League and have the CHILL franchise be a member of it. Currently, he serves as a board member for the Parks and Recreation Commission for the City of Palm Springs and accepted the 2007 Palm Springs Small Business of the Year award presented in June by the Chamber of Commerce and City of Palm Springs .  Prior to owning the CHILL & POWER, Mr. Starke worked for such sports organizations as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Orlando Magic, University of Central Florida and the Long Beach Strikers. On the field, he was a four-year scholarship baseball player graduating from Mercer University in Macon, Ga. where he earned his degree in Business Administration.  Throughout college, he not only earned All-Conference honors on the field, but also was a member of the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team. Mr. Starke is a full time resident here in  Palm Springs and looks forward to keeping baseball here at Palm Springs Stadium for many years to come.

A native of Illinois, Paul discovered his passion for cooking and fine cuisine at the age of seven. Enthralled with all the culinary possibilities, creating and cooking has been an integral part of his life ever since. He received training early on, from various restaurant experiences and catering venues. He loves the challenges of new food cultures and believes in the resurgence of fine dining and entertaining.
 
After a successful career as a Business Development Manager in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, Paul settled in Palm Springs to fulfill his passion, which culminated in his premier catering venture: Love At First Bite™. His greatest asset is the dedication and five-star attention that he offers clients, as well as the ambience and visual delights that he creates. Greatly influenced by Mediterranean food as well as contemporary American classics, attending one of Paul's events is to experience a magical feast.

 

Paul was recently awarded "Best Small Business of the Year 2008" by his peers within the Palm Springs business community, as well as recently opening a new division catering to private jet aircraft using the Palm Springs area regional private jet terminals.
